Education

The Dominican motto of Veritas- Truth inspires those who minister in education. Through teaching and administration, Dominican Sisters impart truth to students from pre school through graduate level.

Sr. Ann Providence Frassinello at Megan Furth Academy in San Francisco:

"For me education has been the most rewarding, fulfilling and deeply life-giving ministry imaginable. Just a few days ago I went to my mailbox to find three letters from former students. Kristen and Seth have a brand new baby boy. They wrote to share their good news with me and included a photo of their baby son, Eli. Alicia and her family have just settled into a new home in southern California. Alicia wanted me to know that I am not only her fifth grade teacher, but her friend. Afsaneh has just graduated from Union College in New York and promises to keep in touch. This in only one trip to the mailbox! I cherish deeply the love, sharing and friendship that comes to me through my ministry."

Sr. Emmanuel Cardinale, O.P. Principal of St. Michael School in Livermore:

"Observing the student population now enrolled in our Catholic schools we see children hungry for love and attention, for stability and security as they are growing up in a chaotic world. In many cases, Catholic educators are the people who help make sense of the confusion. Our schools are places where a defined value system and order prevail, where the school staff members model cooperation and harmony. School is a place of prayer and peace, of a clear direction in life."
